Where should I begin?
ChatGPT is a text based AI developed by OpenAI and Microsoft. There's a free version 3.5 ChatGPT and a paid version 4 which is faster with more features and advancements for $20/month. How does AI do all that?
It can be trained.
AI is a model that can be trained. To do that, a large dataset of existing marketing content e.g. product descriptions, social media posts, email campaigns are fed into it. This dataset serves as the material for the AI model to learn patterns, grammar, style and language use.
It can predict.
You've heard it said often that AI can predict. No, it doesn't have a crystal ball. What it has is text generation algorithms, such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs) or transformers, which have been trained on vast amount of text data. These algorithims are what allow the AI model to predict and generate coherent sequences of words based on the input and desired output.
It can customise.
AI can be designed to understand and employ context and customisation. They can consider variables like target audience, tone of voice, specific product features, or marketing objectives in order to generate specific, tailored content.
It can improve.
AI likes feedback. Humans can evaluate and rate the generated content, providing feedback to AI. This helps the model to learn and improve over time, producing more accurate and relevant marketing content.

Using AI wisely
