About Dr Julie Phillips-Moore
Dr. Julie Phillips-Moore (Ph.D) works in the area of health psychology which is a wholistic approach that focuses on how all facets of your life have an impact on both your physical and mental health.
Psychological studies show that your mind and your body have a strong bi-directional link. As your mental health declines, it affects your physical health and, when your physical health declines it affects your mental health.
Julie has treated a wide range of health issues by combining psychology, clinical hypnotherapy, EFT (Tapping), nutrition and naturopathy.
Her focus is on IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), together with other
gastroenterology conditions (e.g. abnormal functioning due to food poisoning,
overuse of antibiotics, dysbiosis and leaky gut), that can affect the GI tract.
Julie is also a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, naturopath and counsellor with over
30 years experience.
Julie obtained her degree in Psychology, her Masters Degree in Behavioural Health
Science, and her Ph.D in the field of Psychoneuroimmunology from the University
of Sydney. She has given lectures at the university in the Faculty of Health
Sciences and is also a guest lecturer in complementary medicine.
