MEET OUR PASSIONATE
MBF COMMITTEE
The Micro Business Forum Committee is dedicated to supporting small businesses with less than five employees. We work hard to provide education, support and networking opportunities to businesses in the Mid North Coast of NSW Australia.

I am very passionate about helping small businesses in the community. That’s why I put my hands up to join the MBF committee. Together with Veronica Lind, we gave an interactive session on video social marketing. It’s what I love doing, taking videos to promote my dogs. I’m glad I had the opportunity to share my knowledge with other business owners.

I have been in the Micro Business Forum since its inception in 2003 when it was called the Home Based Business Club (HBBC).

As a micro business and working by myself I found this group essential for me to keep in touch with other like-minded business owners and get professional advise and guidance from the amazing speakers and workshops that have been an integral part of the success of this group. The group has always been a friendly, and definitely not “clicky” bunch of diverse micro business owners and the networking is great fun! I am very excited to be on the committee so I can help continue the tradition of helping both new and long term micro business owners move forward with the confidence to succeed.

I joined the MBF Committee in 2010 and have been Membership Secretary, Vice President, President and I'm more than happy to stay with the committee as mentor small business owners.
My skills in public speaking, people skills and general organisation have greatly improved as a result.
Not only that we all have such fun and they are a great team and when I read terrific comments from the members my heart soars as I know the committee is doing what our members want.

I was invited to join the Micro Business Forum by a fellow marketeer - Louise Rakowski - and from the start, I was made to feel most welcome by all the members - they really are "the most friendly group in town".
Since then I have learnt so much, from both the members, who are very generous in the giving of their skills and expertise, as well as the invited guests. All of which has helped me tremendously with my own business.
I was delighted when I was asked to become the Vice President, as I felt that would be a great way for me to "give back" to the group who have helped me through the ups and downs of owning my own micro-business.

I’ve been a Member since 2009 and a Committee Member since 2011. During that time I have been Treasurer, Vice-President and Membership Secretary..
Working with a dynamic committee to bring interesting and developmental opportunities to our members, is motivational - and keeps me involved.
Over this time I’ve learnt heaps from our speakers, interactive sessions and networking as well as our committee activities.

I am honoured to have served as MBF's President for 3 terms. I strongly believe in sharing and learning new knowledge and the Micro Business Forum is a perfect platform to do this.
Members can learn from each other, industry speakers and subject matter experts.
It will be my honour as an International Business and Marketing Strategist to help local start-ups and small businesses build business confidence. I’m always thrilled to learn about the passion behind each business owner, why they do what they love to do and be motivated after each meeting!
